JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund has awarded $447,698.07 to 27 grant projects across the state, including more than $94,000 total to five projects in Teton County, the organization announced Wednesday.

Grants will fund projects by Wyoming’s nonprofits and government organizations that focus on art, culture and community. This year, money went to projects including historic preservation, interpretive signage, museum and art exhibits, folk festivals, concerts, equipment and touring theater events.

In Teton County, grants were awarded to the following organizations for their proposed projects:

  • $7,100 to Art pARTners’ Learning About Wyoming Indigenous Culture Through Art
  • $7,500 to Jackson Hole Public Art’s Inhabitants Mural Project
  • $35,000 to Salt River Arts Society’s Architect and Renovations for the Ford Theater
  • $10,490 to Teton County Fair & Fairgrounds’ Community Building Western Heritage Mural
  • $34,000 to Wind River Community Alliance’s Wind River Indian Reservation Art and Culture Kits for All Kids

Grants awarded in Teton County are among the larger amounts announced this year. The largest grant, $50,000, went to Johnson County’s Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum’s 1909 Carnegie Building Restoration project.

Statewide grants recipients might also be visible locally, including:

  • $21,000 to Buffalo Youth Nation Project’s Unearthed: Native People’s Ancient Lives Revealed in the Greater Yellowstone Documentary
  • $14,000 to Central Wyoming College Foundation’s 2024 Indigenous Education Day and Teton Powwow
  • $12,000 to Off Square Theatre Company’s 2024 Thin Air Shakespeare Tour
  • $7,000 to Trinkle Brass Works, Inc.’s Cowboy Overtures Tour
  • $19,000 to the Wyoming Historical Society’s WyoHistory.org Online Encyclopedia of Wyoming History
