JACKSON, Wyo.— Teton County has issued a No Unnecessary Travel advisory for all County-maintained roads in Teton County due to high wind, drifting snow, and significant winter driving conditions.

No Unnecessary Travel means that the road is open but travel is not recommended due to hazardous driving conditions. Generally, this advisory is posted during winter months due to extremely icy conditions, when visibility is limited due to blowing snow, or when a combination of conditions makes travel ill-advised.

This advisory is not for all roads in Teton County, but all County-maintained roads. These include, but are not limited to, South Park Loop Rd, Buffalo Valley Rd, Alta Ski Hill Rd, Moulton Loop, Game Creek Rd, and many others. A list of all County Roads is attached to this email or can be found at the Teton County Road & Levee website.

Only the most urgent of situations should warrant travel in a No Unnecessary Travel advisory. Drivers who attempt such travel should be familiar with local conditions and be very experienced with winter driving.

Teton County Road & Levee Division reminds us that by choosing to travel during hazardous conditions, you may be interfering with maintenance personnel and their efforts to improve highway safety.
