JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Fair Board is seeking ribbon art entries for the 2026 Wyoming State Fair to be on display in Douglas from August 11 to 16. Submissions are due by June 1. All 23 Wyoming counties will have displays at the fair.
One winning piece will be selected by the Teton County Fair Board to be on display at the State Fair. Runners up will be displayed during the Teton County Fair in the Blue Ribbon Exhibit Hall. Participants are encouraged to get creative with ribbon weaving, twisting, layering and design.
“This is a chance for our community to show off its creativity and pride,” said Teton County Fair and Fairgrounds Manager Trista Hiltbrunner in a press release. “We hope to see entries from artists, families, 4-H members, and anyone who wants to help tell Teton County’s story through ribbon-based art.”
The competition is meant to be a chance for residents to show “the landscapes, traditions and western heritage that makes Teton County unique,” according to a press release. The Great Wyoming Ribbon Art Roundup aims to highlight the individuality of each county while honoring the shared heritage that connects communities across Wyoming.
Artwork submissions must measure between 2 feet by 2 feet and 3 feet by 5 feet including the frame. At least 90% of visible artwork must be made from ribbon. The piece must include the county name and county number. Entries should also be ready to hang.
Final submissions must be dropped off at the Teton County Fair Office no later than June 1.
