Teton Backcountry Guides Expands Opportunities With Skill-Building Camps & Clinics Teton Range Skiing Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

Victor, ID – Local backcountry experts, Teton Backcountry Guides, has expanded opportunities to enjoy the region’s world-class mountains with skill-building camps and clinics in addition to their popular day tours and backcountry yurt system.

A new website features full information on the range of adventure options to make it easy to find just the right trip based on interests and aspirations.

Armed with a passion for the outdoors and years of guiding experience, owners Diane Verna and Jeff Jung claim they absolutely love their jobs. “I can’t imagine what could be better than sharing the amazing Teton backcountry with snow enthusiasts. With our new skill-building camps and clinics, we are able to provide experiences for all backcountry levels.” says Diane, who co-owns Teton Backcountry Guides with her husband Jeff.

While it may be a slow start to winter in the valley, the mountains are blanketed in the fun white stuff and the allure of backcountry adventure has an even greater appeal. If you’re ready to explore terrain beyond the resorts and groomed tracks but aren’t familiar with the terrain or the tools, Teton Backcountry Guides will provide the goods. They offer backcountry skills clinics and camps and host the region’s only backcountry yurt system, located on the West slope of the Tetons.

Teton Backcountry Guides, formerly Rendezvous Backcountry Tours, has been guiding skiers and riders in the Teton backcountry since 1986. Jeff and Diane purchased the company from Carole Lowe and Glenn Vitucci in 2000, and have expanded the yurt system to include four remote mountain yurts where they host backcountry camps, guided and catered yurt trips, and do-it-yourself yurt rentals. “Our guided trips and backcountry skills camps are life-changing for those new to the sport of backcountry skiing and riding,” says Jeff. “Living comfortably in the backcountry for three days while learning backcountry basics and seeking out the best snow conditions is a very special and unique way to learn. Needless to say, it’s a blast and we have lots of repeat clients!”

For those short on time, Teton Backcountry Guides offers day tours up Mail Cabin Canyon, Mt. Glory, and Mt. Taylor via Teton Pass, as well as renowned runs in Grand Teton National Park including Maverick Ridge, 25 Short, and Mt. Albright. You can improve your skiing and riding skills while discovering new terrain, and learning about backcountry winter travel.

Jeff, Diane, and their team of local mountain guides are passionate about their backcountry playground and are eager to share their expertise. Learn more and view yurt availability at www.tetonbackcountryguides.com.
