JACKSON HOLE, WYO — Teton County School District has been racking up accolades faster than one of its Munger Mountain 2nd graders can count to 10 in two languages.
The latest meeting of TCSD board of trustees was a veritable highlight reel as several special guests dropped by to give thanks, present awards and money, and read aloud to board members.
As first reported by Buckrail, Teton Conservation District and Energy Conservation Works presented TCSD with a $10,000 in acknowledgement of the district’s pursuit of renewable sources of energy in the form of solar panel installation at Munger Mountain Elementary School (MMES).
Then, Zia Yasrobi stopped by to present the district with a plaque commemorating the Wyoming Engineering Society’s Project of the Year runner-up award for MMES. Project architect Kurt Dubbe of Dubbe Moulder Architects was also there.
“We appreciated the opportunity to work on such an iconic community project,” said Y2 Consultant’s Yasrobi.
Finally, quite a few young readers and writers joined the board to share some stories they had read or written.
