TCSD hosts annual spring concert

JACKSON HOLE, WYO — TCSD middle school and high school bands will perform the annual spring concert on May 21.

The Jackson Hole Middle School Bands will open the concert at 6:00pm with a wide variety of entertaining selections. You’ll hear music that features the whole group as well as certain sections of the band such as flutes, clarinets and percussion. Along the way, the middle school bands will also perform familiar favorites including cartoon-themed songs.

Later, the Jackson Hole High School Jazz Band will hit the stage. They’ll swing into spring with an assortment of jazzy tunes made famous by the likes of Horace Silver, Rodgers & Hart, John Coltrane and Herbie Hancock. Jazz band members will also have many opportunities to show off their impressive improvisation chops.

After the Jazz Band, the JHHS Concert Band will continue the show. They’ll start by reprising the selections that earned them their seventh consecutive Superior rating at the recent Wyoming Music Educators Association Southwest District Music Festival. Other selections from the JHHS Concert Band’s performance will include music from West Side Storyand James Bond.

Admission is free, so come on out and enjoy a great evening of wonderful music performed by some of Jackson Hole’s most talented young musicians.
