UPDATE: At 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, a search and rescue team made contact with the snowmobilers at the Henderson Canyon trailhead.
VICTOR, Idaho — Two snowmobilers were reported missing the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 17 in Henderson Canyon, an area in the southwest portion of Teton Valley, near Victor.
The call was reported at 11:17 p.m. with the Teton County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho. A search and rescue team was deployed shortly after the reported call last evening.
At 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, Mitch Golden, Public Information Officer for the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, told Buckrail that members of the Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue (TCISAR) team are still actively searching the area
The National Weather Service (NWS) and Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center (BTAC) have issued an avalanche warning that will remain in effect through 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19.
