VICTOR, Idaho — Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue (TCISAR) has shared that its crews responded to two separate incidents in the Mike Harris campground area of Caribou-Targhee National Forest this past week. The campground is located along Idaho State Highway 33, approximately five miles southeast of Victor.

On Saturday, July 6, at 12:27 p.m., TCISAR received a dispatch report of a injured party on Ladyslipper trail. TCISAR responded with both a wheeled litter, a stretcher-like device with wheels, and ATVs. According to TCISAR, the patient was safely transported out.

On Monday, July 8, at 11:16 a.m., dispatch alerted TCISAR of an injured man on Hillbender trail. The team responded with a wheeled litter, and transported him back to the trailhead.

Both calls involved incident command teams stationed at nearby points of access, coordinating logistics, radio communication and medical needs, according to TCISAR.

“Don’t hesitate to call 911, TCISAR is on call,” TCISAR said via Facebook.
