JACKSON, Wyo. \u2014 The Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) this weekend announced the suspension of spring sports until at least Monday, April 20. With Governor Mark Gordon and the Wyoming Department of Health extending the school closure date to April 17, the decision was made by WHSAA to delay spring sports. \u201cSo that everyone will be on an equal playing field, there will continue to be no practices during the suspension,\u201d stated WHSAA. \u201cDue to the continuing influence of COVID-19 we are not able to predict when it will be safe to resume spring sports. We will continue to be guided by the Government of Wyoming, including the Wyoming Department of Health and the State Department of Education.\u201d Jackson Hole High School soccer was scheduled to begin play April 2. The boys varsity team is defending state champs. Track and Field competition was to begin April 4. Golf is supposed to get underway May 8.
