From collaborative art installations at Emily's Pond to a panel on the commercial side of art, many events this week bring multiple artists together. Creatives can get inside the mind of professional, commercial photographer Andy Anderson this Wednesday at The Rose. Anderson will discuss what it takes to make a living in a creative career, followed by a panel with local artists Ed Anderson, Kathryn Turner, Bronwyn Minton, Bland Hoke, and Claudia Bueno. On Thursday, head to Emily's Pond for the opening of the artmaking project FoundSpace 2018. Five artists - Bland Hoke, Matt Daly, Jenny Dowd, Bronwyn Minton, and Brittany Hill - incorporated gathered objects from JH Land Trust conservation properties into outdoor art installations. Organized by the Land Trust and JH Public Art, a food truck from Genevieve Catering will be on hand with $2 snacks, while Jess O'Neil and the Neversweat Players add live music. You can also help the Art Association and Jackson Hole Stillworks select artwork for a commercial label. At the Spirit of Wyoming Voting Party on Thursday evening, attendees cast ballots for their favorite piece of art. The winner walks away with a cash prize and representation on the Stillworks' vodka bottle label for the next year. Start your weekend on Friday evening with Emily's Awesome Art Show at Cowboy Coffee. Enjoy wine (and coffee) while perusing Emily Boespflug's newest installation of paintings. When you're done, head over to the Silver Dollar Showroom for Clyde and the Milltailers, a Colorado-based folk and roots trio influenced by early American music. Or head over the hill to the Knotty Pine for a recently announced show with Nashville-based Jeff Crosby. On Saturday, put on your boogie shoes and celebrate diversity and acceptance in our community at the inaugural Jackson Hole Pride Dance Party at Pink Garter Theatre. The night, for ages 21 and up, features an energetic pop playlist curated by DJ Londo and the Ultimate Lip Sync Battle. Find many more happenings from our creative community at DailyWonder.org. Special thanks to Cal Brackin and JH Public Art for the video of Walt Gerald preparing bandanas for FoundSpace 2018.
