TETON VILLAGE, WYO – Celebrating eleven seasons of free, family-friendly concerts in Teton Village, the annual Concert on the Commons lineup is in full swing. For the next six Sundays, you’ll have the opportunity to hear big band soul, reggae, pop, bluegrass and beyond. Produced by Poppa Presents, the concerts are presented by Teton Village Association (TVA) with support from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) and all TVA business partners.

Steeped in classic soul standards and outfitted with modern flair, The Burroughs is a nine-piece band with a powerhouse sound coming to us from Greeley, Colorado. No newcomer to uplifting spirits, frontman Johnny Burroughs has a background working as a licensed minister and music pastor. His church upbringing serves him well on stage, where the red-headed frontman sings, dances, and screams audiences into a revival-like frenzy. His dynamite backing band includes a sizzling four-piece horn section and tight four-piece rhythm section that are as versatile as they are fun to watch. The band’s live performances are capped by choreographed dancing, soaring solos, and funky grooves, with the goal of moving the audience to a joyful celebration by each show’s closing tune.

Since 2013, the band has lit up stages with their trademark brand of “sweaty soul music,” quickly earning their rightful place as not only one of the best live bands in the region, but a band that gives back to the community. Their “Bands Give Back” initiative raised over $9,000 for increased music access and educator support for youth in Greeley. The Burroughs’ newest single, “Zero Sum Game,” marries an uplifting message with infectious melodic hooks.
