JACKSON, Wyo. — A suspect has been taken into custody following Tuesday night’s active shooter incident on Spring Gulch Road, according to the Teton County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO).
TCSO confirmed that events escalated from a domestic dispute. They could not confirm nor deny if the suspect was injured in the incident or the nature of their injuries, but did confirm that no one else was harmed during the incident.
Charges against the individual have not been formalized.
Residents received public safety alerts Tuesday night at 8:46 p.m. warning that Spring Gulch Road from Highway 22 to Sagebrush Drive was closed “due to ongoing law enforcement activity.” At 9:04 p.m., an additional alert issued a shelter in place order, citing an active shooter in the area. Later alerts disclosed that law enforcement was working with the gunman to resolve the issue, and the shelter in place order was lifted by 11:40 p.m.
