From the first JacksonHoleLive of the season to the 7th Annual Plein Air Fest, summer events start now.
Life is a cabaret when Nicole Madison and Pam Phillips perform “What Is This Thing Called Love.” The duo offers two sets of this one-hour performance at Spring Creek Ranch this Thursday.
Also on Thursday, official County Music Television artist Ashley Wineland headlines The Silver Dollar Showroom at the Wort. On Friday and Saturday, she takes her show to the newly renovated Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. The young singer and songwriter is touring in support of her new album “Simple Life.”
Contemporary Dance Wyoming explores the idea of beauty in “Stealing Inward,” a performance that blends dance, physical theatre, and the spoken word. The local dance troupe will be accompanied by musicians Leif Routman and Shawn Fleming to deliver a total of four shows on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Also on Friday evening, Grand Teton Music Festival presents the community concert “Prismatic Winds” with BYU Idaho and local pianist Andrew Todd. The concert features four pieces, and it is a free, ticketed event.
More than 50 local and regional artists will converge on the National Museum of Wildlife Art for their 7th Annual Plein Air Fest on Saturday morning. Artists will create new works in the open air from the Sculpture Trail and other locations overlooking the National Elk Refuge, while the Pat Chadwick Trio provides music for a portion of the day. Visitors can also bid on art beginning at 12:30 pm.
Celebrate Father’s Day with the season’s first JacksonHoleLive concert this Sunday. The afternoon starts with the Raptor Fest at 3 pm, followed by the 13th Annual Crawdad Boil at 5 pm, and finishing at 6 pm with music from the locally-based band Benyaro followed by New Orleans’ original Glen David Andrews.
Remember to save some energy for Tuesday night’s show at Pink Garter Theatre. The Ghost of Paul Revere opens for Nicki Bluhm who will highlight songs from her new album “To Rise You Gotta Fall.”
