JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Library announced the first-ever Cabin Fever Story Slam Greatest Hits edition, which will be held on Wednesday, June 12.
Story Slam all-stars have been invited under one roof to retell their winning stories, and compete for a storytelling prize. This free, non-ticketed event will take place at the Center for the Arts at 7 p.m.
“We’ve invited some multiple winning storytellers back to re-tell old favorite stories,” Teton County Library posted on social media. “Join us to hear true tales about a workday gone awry, luck and longing on the ocean, how to meet a significant other, what happens when you try to learn new skills as an adult and more.”
Story Slam MC and event host Jeff Moran shared with KHOL the recipe for an engaging story.
“A good story should have a beginning, a middle and an end,” Moran said. “And so I don’t think it’s necessarily any particular style, but I like the stories that are a little more polished where people have practiced it a couple of times. And you know, not only myself, but everyone in attendance really picks up on that.”
