Cafe Genevieve fire investigation ongoing

JACKSON, WY —Almost two days later and investigators still don’t know what started the fire at Café Genevieve early Tuesday morning.

The investigation is ongoing and being lead by the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) at the request of the Jackson Police Department. JPD, Jackson Fire Department, and the Wyoming State Fire Marshal’s office are also participating.

According to a press release from JPD, there are still numerous items of evidence to collect and process, and additional people to interview. Items collected at the scene will be sent for testing and analysis at the Wyoming State Crime Lab to assist in the investigation.
