JACKSON, Wyo. — A vehicle collision that occurred at Snow King Resort yesterday evening prompted START Bus to temporarily close its stop at the location.

This morning at 11:17 a.m., START issued an alert that a closure was in effect at the Snow King Resort bus stop.

“Until further notice, the bus stop at Snow King Resort will no longer be serviced by START bus, due to the icy conditions of the roadway.”

Meanwhile, START Bus Operations Manager, Jeff Deal went to assess the area where the collision occurred.

“We had an accident that occurred, but since then [the resort] has put plenty of sand and salt down. This [was] a temporary solution based on safety,” Deal.

Deal evaluated the area this morning and deemed it safe to resume operations at 1 p.m., as the icy section of the road was taken care of and conditions had improved.

No injuries were reported from the collision.
