JACKSON, Wyo. — Spring Clean Up this year will run from Monday, May 9 through Saturday, May 14, with Community Trash Clean Up taking place on May 14.

Starting today, community members can pick up free compostable yard waste bags at the following locations:

  • Town Hall – 150 East Pearl
  • Public Works Administrative Building – 450 West Snow King Avenue
  • Teton County Recycling Center (ISWR) – 3270 Adams Canyon Drive

Details of this year’s Spring Clean Up events are as follows:

  • No curbside pick-up will occur.
  • One-day only yard waste collection at the Teton County Fairgrounds on Friday, May 13  9 a.m. -6 p.m.
  • Yard waste can also be brought to the Trash Transfer Station from 7 a.m.- 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m. -1 p.m. on Saturday. The first 500 pounds are free from May 9-14.
  • Free disposal applies to residential yard waste only. No commercial operations.
  • Attendees of the event should expect to unload their own yard waste at both sites.
  • Dog poo, plastic bags and other trash will be sent home with you.
  • Please separate your materials into two piles:
    • leaves/grass/twigs
    • sticks/branches

Additionally, the Rotary Club will be holding its regular Community Litter Clean Up on May 14. Participants wishing to volunteer for the clean up are asked to meet at either Phil Baux Park or at the Old Wilson School House 8 a.m. Participants will be assigned an area to clean and will be provided trash bags along with breakfast treats & coffee. Volunteers will also receive a meal voucher to use for lunch at Eco-Fair for volunteers. For more information, contact jhcleanup@gmail.com.

Yard waste composting is available year-round at $83/ton at the Transfer Station facility if you are unable to attend this free event.
