Snowstorm causes at least one accident in Snake River Canyon

STAR VALLEY, WYO – A multi-vehicle accident this morning in the Snake River Canyon near Sheep Gulch closed US 26/89 briefly as it was cleared.

Some victims were taken to the hospital but Buckrail has learned no one was seriously injured.

Conditions are rapidly deteriorating today as a snowstorm is impacting western Wyoming all day today and into the evening. Conditions should clear by late morning tomorrow.

Teton Pass remains open with Chain Law Level 1 in effect.
