JACKSON, Wyo. — Time to switch tires?
Snow is expected to make an appearance in Jackson this weekend, according to the National Weather Service’s Riverton (NWS) office. As of Friday morning, the forecast calls for snow showers beginning Saturday night.
After a sunny Friday and partly sunny Saturday, winds will pick up in the afternoon, with gusts of up to 25 mph possible, NWS notes. By evening, rain and snow showers will roll in, turning fully to snow showers after 3 a.m.
“Snow level 8,700 feet, lowering to 7,300 feet after midnight,” the forecast reads. “Low around 30. … Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.”
Snow showers remain likely throughout Sunday, with an anticipated new snow accumulation of less than one inch. Snow showers are also expected Monday morning before noon.
