UPDATE: Weather has delayed this construction project. Work will take place from Wednesday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 6, according to a Monday update from the Town of Jackson.
JACKSON, Wyo. — Snow King Avenue will be closed to drivers from Monday, Oct. 2 through Wednesday, Oct. 4, the Town of Jackson announced Friday.
The avenue will close between Millward Street and Flat Creek Drive, near the Jackson Hole Rodeo.
The closure will accommodate construction on Flat Creek Apartments, the affordable housing project. Crews will work to tie the new apartments to the water main, which requires excavation, utility installation and road surface repair.
START buses will be re-routed around the project while work occurs. Detour signs at both intersections will be posted, routing vehicles north to Kelly Avenue.
Bikes will be allowed to use Snow King Ave. during construction. Cyclists are advised to approach the construction area with caution.
