YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — This bird really lives up to its name.
Yellowstone National Park posted a photo to its Flickr page depicting a bluebird perched on a snag near Palette Spring, which is in the northern end of the park.

National Park Service photographer Jacob W. Frank glimpsed two striking birds on his outing to Palette; while the bluebird was perched above the thermal feature, this killdeer (also known as a chattering plover) was stepping in it directly. (Humans: Do not try this.)
