JACKSON, Wyo. — A rainy summer day couldn’t keep the crowd away from the Rubber Ducky Regatta at Russ Garaman Park on Friday. The annual race on Flat Creek officially kicks off Old Bill’s season.

Over 200 rubber ducks raced down the creek, each representing a local nonprofit that benefits from Old Bill’s donations.
Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer found cover under some trees to watch the race unfold.
Members of the Teton County Search and Rescue Swiftwater Team rescued each ducky after it crossed the finish line.

Spectators sporting rain coats crowded by the river’s edge to watch the ducks float by.

According to the Community Foundation, which hosts the event and runs Old Bill’s, these were the top 10 finishers (fourth through 10th place winners each received a $50 donation):
- TODO TV Foundation (winner of a $300 donation)
- Cops for Kids JH (winner of a $200 donation)
- JH Symphony Orchestra (winner of a $100 donation)
- Education Foundation of Jackson Hole
- Teton County Sheriff’s Auxiliary
