JACKSON, Wyo. — One thing is for certain: Jacksonites know what they want and are committed to what they care about, rain or shine. This morning, despite the snow, fans of the band Widespread Panic came out in droves to buy tickets after Snow King announced the July 5 concert on Monday.
“I biked here after work last night at 10:15 and there were already 10 chairs [in line] and people sleeping in vans,” one fan said.
Snow King hosted an in-person ticket sale beginning at 8:30 a.m. before tickets went live online at 10 a.m.
Others had tents set up at the top of the steps near the Rafferty Activity Center. “We slept in these tents last night,” a resident told Buckrail, gesturing to a row of green tents assembled on the concrete at the top of the stairs.

Another fan mentioned they brought a French press to make coffee in line, and one group had a small campfire assembled on the sidewalk.

The energy of the crowd was generally positive. Most people were smiling and exchanging jokes and warm conversation. Groups had camp chairs set up and huddled in circles.
These Widespread Panic fans turned what could have been a stressful morning into a fun time.
