JACKSON, Wyo. — Cue the Neil Young song.

October’s full moon hit its peak on Monday night, and Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer got a shot of the supermoon high in the night sky.

Then, on Tuesday morning, he caught the moonset happening over eastern Idaho’s Big Hole Mountains.

The full moon that occurs close to the autumnal equinox is known as the Harvest Moon. It rises right around sunset, and illuminates the sky during the early evening, theoretically allowing farmers extra time to harvest their crops.

The next full moon will occur on Nov. 5.
