JACKSON, Wyo. — Ullr finally delivered some snow to Jackson last night.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort reported 12 inches of new snow this morning after more than a month-long dry spell. And skiers were stoked. Traffic was gridlocked on Highway 22 this morning, parking was full by 10:45 a.m. and the early tram wait was roughly an hour.

After a delayed start, all lifts are running and crowds have dispersed. The wait for the tram is 10-30 minutes as of 11:30 a.m., according to the resort’s app.

Avalanche danger has increased to “moderate” at high elevations. New snow and winds have formed slabs that may be sensitive to human triggers, according to the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center.

Be safe out there!
