Local ducks are enjoying a new paddling pond in west Jackson following a weather combo of warming temps and new precipitation. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer spotted the new avian hangout next to the post office on Maple Way on Wednesday afternoon, as Tuesday’s snow was supplanted by rainfall.
This pond might not be long for this world. Zip over to the post office to do some birdwatching before it freezes or evaporates — either outcome seems possible, given the unpredictable weather.
