JACKSON, Wyo. — ShelterJH and six co-hosting organizations brought together Jacksonites on an unexpectedly cold June afternoon for the Election Block Party at Snake River Brewing yesterday.

Despite the rain, residents came out to meet neighbors, chat with local candidates and register to vote.

Other attendees enjoyed music by local band Outta Shorts and free beers while supplies lasted.

Protect Our Water Jackson Hole, ShelterJH, the Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance, Jackson Hole Pride, Wyoming Wildlife Advocates and League of Women Voters Wyoming all had booths at the event.

Regardless of weather, locals appear to be interested in the upcoming elections, and the free beer and music certainly doesn’t hurt.
