JACKSON, Wyo. — Happy May 1!

The first day of May is often an eventful one in Jackson. Lifted wildlife closures allow for the annual shed antler hunt, which motivates some Wyomingites to venture out at the crack of dawn for the best antler selection.

The Town of Jackson shared the aerial photo above to social media on Thursday, depicting numerous vehicles participating in the Jackson Police Department’s motorcade out to the antler hunting grounds. Cars were allowed to line up beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday at the Teton County Fairgrounds. Note the horses taking a breather outside of their trailers.
