ALTA, Wyo. — ‘Twas a festive closing weekend on the other side of the Tetons at Grand Targhee Resort.
On Saturday, the resort held its Annual Pond Skim, an event in which skiers and riders descend onto, or sometimes into, a “pond” at the end of the slope. The goal is to make it across the pool of water without sinking.
In this celebration of spring and the end of the winter 22/23 season, a crowd gathered around the pond and cheered on as participants attempted to ski and ride on water.
Even the Teton Juggler made an appearance with props in hand, of course.
