The Snake River Fund is well into its second decade of promoting public access to and stewardship of the Snake River headwaters in western Wyoming. Our Friends Float is an opportunity for Jackson locals to come together and celebrate our historic successes, our ongoing projects, and our vision for the future.

Rivers are an integral part of the cultural fabric of a Jackson Hole summer. Some enjoy the thrills of splashy waves, some love to wet a fly line in search of our native cutthroat trout, and others may simply just enjoy a stroll in the cottonwood forests along the riverbank. There is no right or wrong way to enjoy the river. The Snake River headwaters fuel our economy, deliver world-class recreation opportunities, nourish our community, and provide so much to communities downstream.

Our waters give us much to celebrate and, so too, do our public lands. Snake River Fund’s Friends Float allows attendees to enjoy and celebrate both with an “all inclusive” float from Wilson to BLM Parcel 23.

Snake River Fund will provide seats aboard rafts for the 7-mile float along with on-river snacks and drinks. Once we arrive at Parcel 23, a BBQ buffet and complimentary libations will be provided. A raffle of locally donated goods and services will be on hand in support of the Snake River Fund. Yard games and conversation will wrap up the evening as the sun sets behind the mountains. A complimentary shuttle will be provided back to the Wilson Boat Ramp.
