Silver Dollar TV: live music YouTube channel to launch next week

JACKSON, Wyo. — The cameras are flung, the audio and lighting has been tweaked, and the beta phase evolution of Silver Dollar TV will enable the downtown venue to confidently broadcast hi-fi Showroom concerts to the world. Silver Dollar TV will give viewers immediate access to live-streamed and archived shows from local, regional and national groups twice weekly.

Justin Smith, talent buyer for Silver Dollar Inc. and member of One Ton Pig, explained the genesis of Silver Dollar TV in a press release: “It all started back in April 2020 when so many artists started performing virtual concerts to stay in touch with their fans. We launched our own livestream series that was super fun and really broadened our reach, so we decided to build a permanent online music platform for continued use post-pandemic.”

With the help of local audio engineer Rob Sidle, Smith has installed four cameras and a video switching system to provide multiple angles and perspectives of each performance.

“The various camera angles coupled with our professional audio mix will allow the shows to look and sound amazing!” Smith added.

Livestreams will launch at 6:30 p.m. MST this Tuesday, February 2 and can be viewed from any device via the Silver Dollar TV YouTube channel, also accessible by searching “Silver Dollar TV” on YouTube. Each Tuesday, the staple house-band of over fourteen years, One Ton Pig, will be featured from the Silver Dollar Showroom. The second livestream each week will take place on Thursday, Friday or Saturday at the discretion of management. Subscribers to the Silver Dollar TV channel will get alerts for upcoming shows.

The Silver Dollar Bar, located in the historic Wort Hotel in downtown Jackson Hole, regularly plays host to talented local bands as well as touring regional and national acts. The venue is also home to The Silver Dollar Showroom Sessions as well as The Bluegrass Sessions.

Detailed information about the new music channel, along with up-to-date music schedules will be posted at
