JACKSON, Wyo. — Now that the snow is melting in town, Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation (Parks & Rec) will take down the Teton County Fairgrounds’ temporary dog park for the season on Friday, April 25.
Starting on Thursday, April 24, the dog park will no longer be open to the public.
According to Parks & Rec, the dog park is being removed to align with the end of winter wildlife trail closures in Teton County.
“Please be respectful of the wildlife closures until they are lifted on May 1,” Parks & Rec said via press release.
Areas included in wildlife closures can be found by visiting the Teton Conservation District website.
Per the Town of Jackson’s Animal Care and Control Regulations, pets must be always under leash or verbal control within the Town of Jackson. Dogs are not allowed in any Town parks, and are only allowed on pathways when physically leashed.
