HOBACK, Wyo. — On Monday, Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) volunteers responded to a senior citizen who had been horseback riding and needed help out of the backcountry.

TCSAR was called to the Hoback Canyon area around 11 a.m.

During his ride, the man began to feel unwell and was not able to continue on course. Wranglers assisted the man in getting off his horse and waited with him in the shade until Search and Rescue arrived.

TCSAR responded with teams on foot, e-mountain bikes and the RZR. When they reached the man, they packaged him for transport. From there, Search and Rescue transported the man in the wheeled litter about two miles down the trail to a waiting ambulance.

The mission was completed in about three hours.
