Safe boating this weekend and through the holiday Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news
Boating safety begins with PFDs for all on board. (NPS)

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – This weekend’s weather might be terribly cooperative for a lake day, but definitely next weekend (high 80s) and in between.

For anyone heading out on the water, please make sure you have personal flotation devices (PFDs) for everyone on board. Kids should be wearing them at all times.

Park rangers will be out in force this weekend on Jackson Lake. They will be conducting inspections at boat launches and conducting patrols on the water. The biggest safety issue rangers see on the lake and on the Snake River is the use of PFDs.

Boaters are required to have one readily accessible for all adults on board, and children 12 and under are required to wear them.
