WYOMING — Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is once again in the hot seat with Trump supporters and members of the Republican party. During a press conference earlier this morning, Feb. 24, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) answered questions from the press about the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference, in Orlando Florida, scheduled for Feb. 28.
When asked, “Do you believe former President Trump should be speaking at CPAC this weekend? Rep. McCarthy said, “Yes he should.” Rep. Liz Cheney spoke up and said, “That is up to CPAC, I’ve been clear about my views about President Trump and the extent to which fall on January 6th.” adding, “I don’t believe that he should be playing a role in the future of the party or the country.”
Former President Donald Trump is reportedly speaking at CPAC on Sunday, Feb. 28. This will be his first public appearance since he left office in January. Former Vice President Mike Pence will not be attending CPAC.
