POCATELLO, Idaho — The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a red flag warning for a large portion of eastern Idaho including Driggs, in effect from noon to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

NWS is observing low humidity coupled with high temperatures and gusty winds, which could spell erratic fire behavior. Teton County (Idaho) Fire & Rescue has suspended all burn permits through Wednesday.

NWS is anticipating winds at speeds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph possible. Humidity might drop as low as 13%.

Similarly, fire danger on the Wyoming side of the border was boosted to “moderate” on June 5. Be careful out there, folks.
