JACKSON, Wyo. — A heat wave over the weekend resulted in a few record high temperatures across the Jackson Hole Valley and Northwest Wyoming. The Jackson Hole Airport and Moose both broke daily high temperature records on Sunday, August 2 while Yellowstone Lake tied a record.
The weather station in Moose recorded a high temperature of 94 degrees on Sunday, breaking the old record of 93 degrees set in 2003. Records at this location date back to 1958.
The Jackson Hole Airport recorded a high temperature of 90 degrees on Sunday, breaking the old record of 88 degrees set in 2000, 2001 and 2003. Records at the airport only date back to 1997, however.
The weather station at Yellowstone Lake recorded a high temperature of 82 on Sunday, which tied a record that was previously set in 2016.
