JACKSON, Wyo. — The Upper Snake River Basin Local Sage Grouse Working Group encourages the public to attend a meeting to discuss the management of local sage grouse populations on Friday, Nov. 22.
The meeting will begin at 10 am at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) Jackson Regional Office, 420 N. Cache St.
The working group will discuss upcoming potential projects, sage grouse monitoring plans and other updates. This group is comprised of citizens interested in sage grouse conservation and associated land management issues.
Funding from the Wyoming Sage Grouse Conservation Fund, which is administered by the WGFD, is available for sage grouse conservation and research projects.
The funding application period for the Upper Snake River Basin Working Group area is currently open. Grant applications should be received by Jan. 1, 2025. To view the application or for more information, visit the Game and Fish Sage Grouse Local Working Group’s webpage.
