JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation Department is holding two public open houses on Monday, October 30 to discuss the summer season on the Snake River and solicit input on the Snake River Management Plan. Schedule and location details are as follows:

  • Monday, October 30, 2017, 9-10am, Teton County Extension Offices (255 W. Deloney St.)
  • Monday, October 30, 2017, 5-7pm, Teton County Board of Commissioners Chambers (200 S. Willow St.)

The goal of these open houses and other components of this process is to gather information, review past years’ data, and develop a plan for 2018 and beyond. In addition to open houses and other input-gathering strategies, an online survey is available to provide ideas and feedback.

The survey will be open until November 3, 2017.

The anticipated schedule (subject to change) for the rest of the process includes the following dates:

  • October 30: Public Open Houses
  • November 9: Rough draft of 2017 Season-End report presented by staff to Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
  • December 1: Draft of final report and recommendations posted for public comment
  • December 14: Update to Parks & Recreation Advisory Board on 2017 Season-End Report, review of recommendations
  • December 19: Introduce Report and Recommendations to Board of County Commissioners
  • January 2018: Board of County Commissioners makes decision regarding recommendations and long-term permit process
