Race details

Alpine Ski Leg: The alpine ski/snowboard leg is held at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. All classes ski a 3,500 ft. giant slalom approximately 3 miles in length, following the Women’s World Cup Downhill course. Racing class will once again start at the top of Rendezvous Bowl. Recreation class will start at the top of Thunder lift.

Run Leg to Nordic start: This year, in order to have a Nordic leg, there will be a 1.2 mile run from the Alpine finish to the Nordic start. We have found that it is the best way to connect the two legs.  Each team must designate one team member to be the runner. The alpine to run transition will occur at the entrance of the Crystal Springs lot, next to Hostel X at the base of JHMR.

The Cross-Country Ski Leg: The Nordic leg will consist of approximately 6.5km of groomed track at Shooting Star *snow conditions permitting*. (A 5k run will occur in place of the Nordic leg in the event of low snow coverage.) *Competitors will run 1.2 miles from the alpine finish to the Nordic start at Shooting Star*

The Bicycle Leg: The bicycle leg will consist of a 18 mile ride from Teton Village to the South Park Bridge South of Game Creek. Ride on the road and follow all traffic signals. Cyclists will use the Tribal Trails Community Pathway connector .3 miles after Indian Springs Road. Cyclists will exit the pathway at Tribal Trails Road. They will follow Tribal Trails road to South Park Loop road and continue on South Park Loop road south to Highway 89. Head South on Highway 89 to the South Park Bridge.

The Boating Leg: The boating leg is on the Snake River and includes 9 miles of Class 1 and 2 moving water with small waves and strong eddy lines. The stretch is from Von Gontard’s Landing at South Park Bridge to Astoria Hot Springs Park/Snake River Sporting Club Bridge.
