Orlean brings personal to page, page to podium

JACKSON, WY — Author and New Yorker contributor Susan Orlean has built a career investigating “stories that hide in plain sight.”

Orlean will share her journey at the Teton County Library’s Page to Podium series Tuesday, August 6.

Orlean is a best-selling author and writer for The New Yorker whose books include best-seller The Orchid Thief, and her most recent release, The Library Book. Her writing style combines detailed reporting with engaging personal experience. The Orchid Thief, for example, is a beautiful literary exploration of Florida’s orchid black market. “The Library Book” is a multi-layered story about the 1986 fire at the Los Angeles Public Library.

Orlean will sign books in the library following her presentation. The talk is free, but ticketed. Secure your tickets online here.
