WYDAHO — Its community passion that fuels PAWS‘ mission to prevent pet homelessness, and this holiday season the pet organization asks for local support.
Every dollar counts and with the acquisition of last year’s shelter, the organization’s annual operating expenses doubled. In order to meet budget this year, PAWS needs help to raise $150,000 before the year’s end. A generous donor has given PAWS a $25,000 match to help get them there.
For those who have a little extra to give, PAWS and all the pets assisted by the community are grateful.
Two Facilities — One Mission
PAWS tackles animal welfare issues from both ends of the leash. Pets find safety, compassion and a hopeful future. Pet owners receive essential support, financial assistance and guidance.
Jackson Program Office: The Jackson office is a resource center for pet owners in need of guidance, financial assistance for veterinary emergencies and spay & neuter, as well as safety for your pets during emergencies or evacuations.
Driggs Shelter Facility: PAWS’ open-admission shelter is a haven for lost, found, stray and abandoned pets. Animals in care receive medical attention, compassion and the prospect of finding loving homes.
Local animals need help, just ask Cheddar the cat.

When a Good Samaritan found Cheddar, it was clear that he was suffering from severe injuries and was in a great deal of pain. The community member who brought Cheddar to PAWS, hoped that the kitty could find his family and receive the urgent medical attention he needed. Cheddar was quickly taken to the vet where it was determined that he had multiple shattered bones, and that his hind leg needed to be amputated. PAWS can help suffering animals like Cheddar get the life-saving care that they need thanks to community support. Today, Cheddar is happily adopted and thriving as a three-legged feline.
Consider donating to PAWS, so more pets like Cheddar can find health and happiness in their forever homes.
