JACKSON, Wyo.—PAWS of Jackson Hole invites one and all to paw-ty at PAWSH, a howling good fundraiser Saturday, October 19.
The first-of-its-kind swanky soiree held at Hatch Taquerias and Tequilas from 6:30–11 p.m. pairs delicious food, drink, music and games with silent auction and bottle raffle to benefit PAWS eight programs.
“Chances are everyone who walks the streets of Jackson has been touched by one of our programs,” said PAWS Program Director Jess Farr. “[PAWSH] is about getting people involved who may have never supported us or volunteered with us before.”
A 501 c 3 nonprofit dedicated to championing pets and their people for 20 years, PAWS budget for animal welfare and social services is supported entirely by fundraising. Saturday’s PAWSH festivities aim to enhance organization work that spans humane education for future pet owners to free spay/neuter, vet bill assistance and more.
PAWSH door charge is $25 dollars per human or may be pre-purchased over the phone by calling PAWS’ office line. The price covers a self-service taco bar from 7–8 p.m. as well as two refreshing specialty cocktails (PAWS ‘pack’ members are invited with a free plus-one). Added attractions include BEATS BY CAPELLA plus a pay-to-play BOOZE BOTTLE PULL. And humans are asked to please keep the pets at home.
PAWSH promises to be a fresh take on PAWS events, placing emphasis on fun and inclusion to attract a wide spectrum of community members. Local businesses have stepped forward generously with donations of silent auction items including hang gliding, a private ‘kegger,’ a course on sushi rolling, whiskey tasting (for 10), pet tattoos, gunpowder portraits, and a season of sloshies.
