JACKSON, Wyo. — The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole (CFJH) announced its fundraising totals from this year’s edition of Old Bill’s Fun Run, sharing that the event generated $27,946,089 for local nonprofits.
CFJH said this total represented a 40% increase over last year’s fundraiser. The sum was reached through 4,091 donors making 24,197 individual gifts.
Since its inception 27 years ago, Old Bill’s has raised a total of $256,660,433 for nonprofits in Teton County.
“Old Bill’s is a reflection of the character of our community — it’s beautiful, supportive and overflowing with enthusiasm,” Community Foundation President Laurie Andrews said via press release. “It’s remarkable to play a part in this event and to watch how our community rallies for the greater good of our nonprofits and the spectrum of causes these organizations serve.”
A portion of the money was the result of a 66% matching grant, in which nonprofits that raised more than $30,000 received a matching grant of $19,740 from CFJH. .
CFJH held its awards party Wednesday night at The Center, where nonprofits could pick up grant checks. Unclaimed checks will be held at CFJH and must be collected by Nov. 30.
