JACKSON, Wyo. — The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole announced that Old Bill’s Fun Run 2022 raised a total of $19,957,301 in support of local nonprofits, an increase of 1.2% over last year. This effort represents over 24,000 gifts from 4,193 donors. The Match Pool, created with gifts from Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill, CoChallengers and Friends totaled $5,005,979, while participating organizations received $14,951,322 in gifts designated specifically for them. Over the last twenty-six years, Old Bill’s has provided a grand total of $228,714,344 to nonprofits in Teton County.
“This year’s event was special for several reasons. First, we were able celebrate in person on Run Day after a two-year pause,” said Community Foundation President Laurie Andrews, “Second, our community raised a record amount of money for our local nonprofits that are touching the lives of everyone in Teton County.”
Participating organizations received a 61% matching grant through Old Bill’s this year, which means that nonprofits that raised $30,000 or more in designated gifts received a matching grant of $18,240 from the Community Foundation.
Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill generously provided the first $1,000,000 in matching funds. This Giving Season, fifteen CoChallengers either increased their gift or donated to the Old Bill’s Match Fund for the first time. In total, eighty-five CoChallengers partnered with Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill this year. CoChallengers and Friends of the Match do not designate their gifts for specific nonprofits, and instead provide the matching grants that all participating nonprofits receive.
“Old Bill’s inspires the spirit of philanthropy in our community and brings everyone together to rally around our local nonprofits,” said Stacey Morse, Board Chair of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. “We are grateful to the generosity of the thousands of community members who make this possible.”
On Wednesday, Oct. 26 the Community Foundation hosted its Annual Awards Party at The Center where participating nonprofits were invited to pick up their grant award checks. Unclaimed checks will be held at the Community Foundation. Organizations that do not pick up their check by November 30 will forfeit the matching grant. Checks will not be mailed. Please contact Suzanne Rees (srees@cfjacksonhole.org) with questions about check pickup.
