JACKSON, Wyo. — The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole announced today that the 26th annual community-wide fundraiser, Old Bill’s Fun Run, will take place this summer including an in-person Run Day on Sept. 10, which will be held at a new location—Jackson Elementary School Field.
In 2021, the event raised $19,722,220 from 4,158 donors. Since its inception, Old Bill’s has raised an astounding $208 million dollars for local nonprofits.
“After a two-year pause because of the pandemic, we are delighted to gather in person on Run Day to celebrate both our remarkable nonprofits and 26 years of one of the nation’s most innovative philanthropic initiatives,” said Laurie Andrews, Community Foundation president.
Launch Party
The Old Bill’s 2022 Giving Season kicks off on Friday, Aug. 12 from 9:30-11 a.m. with a Launch Party and Rubber Ducky Regatta at Russ Garaman Park.
At the third-annual Rubber Ducky Regatta, the Foundation will send 200+ rubber ducks representing the Old Bill’s nonprofits racing down Flat Creek with the support of Teton County Search & Rescue’s Swiftwater Rescue team. The luckiest ducks will win grants for their nonprofits. This event is free and open to the community.
Run Day Returns
On Saturday, Sept. 10, Run Day will take place in the playing fields at JES, which offers more space to spread out than Old Bill’s traditional venue at Town Square. JES was the site of the original Old Bill’s Fun Run 26 years ago.
Free runner registration will be available on oldbills.org beginning on Friday, Aug. 12.
New components of this year’s Run Day:
• New Location: Jackson Elementary School Field (between Willow and Jean Streets)
• Nonprofit Village including interactive booths hosted by Old Bill’s participating
organizations
