“From a field of very accomplished nominees, I am honored and grateful that Governor Gordon has selected me to become the next Circuit Court Judge for the Ninth Judicial District,” Weisman said in a statement. “I look forward to serving the public.”

According to the Governor’s Office, Weisman has served as Teton County’s Prosecuting Attorney since 2019, overseeing the Civil and Criminal Divisions of the County Attorney’s office. She previously served for five years as Deputy County Attorney and as a private practice attorney with Meyer and Williams P.C. in Jackson. Weisman earned her bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University and her JD degree from the University of Wyoming.

“Erin’s civil law experience and her work as a prosecutor in the Ninth Judicial District, as well as her steady presence in both the legal community and Teton County at large, will serve her well on the Circuit Court bench,” Governor Gordon said in the announcement.

The appointment is effective on August 5.
