WYOMING — In observance of Veterans Day, national parks across the U.S. will waive admission fees on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Most park roads within Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park are closed to vehicles, but visitors are still welcome in certain parts of the parks. Teton Park Road in Grand Teton National Park is open to non-motorized activities. Biking, hiking, running, rollerblading, scootering and walking dogs are all options for the Teton Park Road until the road becomes snow-covered. Yellowstone is still accessible via its North and Northeast Entrances.

Veterans and current members of the U.S. military can qualify for free park admission year-round through these park programs.

This marks the fifth free admission day for national parks this year. Parks waived entrance fees on Jan. 16 for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, on April 22 for the first day of National Park Week, on Aug. 4 for the anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act and on Sept. 23 for National Public Lands day.
