JACKSON HOLE, WYO — This Friday, April 26 marks Jackson Hole Children’s Museum’s last day on King Street. To commemorate that, the museum will offer free admission, extended hours, and raffle drawings.
The Children’s Museum has occupied 174 N. King Street since 2011. A new town housing project will force the relocation of the facility a couple of blocks over to North Jean Street.
To celebrate the eight-year chapter coming to a close, the museum is offering free admission all day, extended hours from 9am to 5pm, and raffles every hour. One of the raffle items will be a never-seen-before Abby Paffrath 2019 Touch-A-Truck hat.
Be sure to stop by and leave your handprint on one of the museum’s entryway panels. These panels will move to the new location as a keepsake of their original home.
The Museum will be closed April 27 through June 8. On Sunday, June 9, the Museum will re-open on North Jean Street in the eastern annex buildings of the Jackson Elementary campus.
Touch-A-Truck, JH Children’s Museum’s largest fundraiser, will be held the same day from 10am to 2pm. Touch-A-Truck is a family-friendly event where vehicles—construction, emergency, law enforcement, food service, recreation and more—line the street, open for kids of all ages to explore in a safe, supervised environment.
“We are immensely grateful for our partnership with the Town of Jackson,” said Jean Lewis, JHCM executive director. “King Street was critical to our start-up, and success over the past eight years. We couldn’t have done it without the support of the Town.”
