JACKSON, Wyo. — Four games into the 2019-20 season and the Jackson Hole Moose are pretty much where one might have surmised. The team is undefeated and the usual suspects are atop the leader board for scoring.

The Moose handed two losses to the Portland Legends last weekend, lifting their record to 4-0. Jackson Hole threw an enormous amount of rubber at Portland goalies, registering 61 shots on goal in Friday’s 8-5 victory and 64 SOGs en route to a 7-2 win Saturday.

Friday

Moose leading scorer Drew Akins enjoyed a 4-point night Friday with 2 goals and 2 assists. Alex Dewitz (2G, 2A) also had a 4-point night.

After grabbing an early 3-1 lead after the first 20 minutes, the Moose found themselves down 5-4 headed into the 2nd intermission. But a 4-goal outburst in the third secured the 8-5 victory.

Saturday

It was all Moose Saturday night as the Moose jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the 1st period. The top line of Drew Akins, Tom Hartnett and AJ Sanders accounted for 4 of Jackson Hole’s 7 goals.

Akins (7G, 4A), Sanders (2G, 7A), Tom Hartnett (3G, 5A), and Alex Dewitz (4G, 3A) lead the Moose in scoring.
